Talk with Croco
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 1, 2026
Talk with Croco ("Croco", "the app") is an English speaking tutor: you practise by having voice calls with Croco, an AI character. The app is made by 33WEB SOFTWARE LTDA ("33WEB", "we"), CNPJ 55.019.059/0001-13, Rua Santa Cruz, 2187 — Sala 10, Vila Mariana, São Paulo — SP, 04121-002, Brazil. This policy explains what data the app uses, why, who processes it and how you can delete it.
The short version
- You don't need an email or a name to use Croco. The app creates an anonymous account for you.
- During a call, your voice and the conversation are sent to an AI model (Qwen, by Alibaba Cloud) so Croco can understand you and answer. We do not keep recordings of your voice.
- After a call, Croco keeps a short note about you (for example your name and goals) so it remembers you.
- We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
- You can delete everything from the app at any time: Settings → Delete my data.
What we collect and why
- Anonymous account. A random user ID and a random device ID, created on first use. We use them to count your free minutes and your subscription minutes, and to stop the free trial from being reused on the same phone.
- Voice and conversation (during calls only). While a call is on, the audio from your microphone is streamed through our server to the AI model, and Croco's voice comes back the same way. Our server passes the audio along and does not store it.
- Call text. To show you corrections and new words after a call, and to translate a caption when you tap it, the text of the conversation is sent to the AI model. The summary (corrections and words) and your call history are stored only on your phone.
- Memory note. A short note (up to about 400 characters) that Croco writes after each call: things like your name, job, goals and what you talked about. It is stored on your phone and in our database, and given to Croco at the start of your next call. You can read it and erase it in Settings → What Croco remembers.
- Learning settings. The app language (used as your native language for explanations) and your English level.
- Usage. When each call started, how long it lasted, the topic you chose and how many minutes you used each day. We use this to apply the free and daily limits.
- Subscription status. When subscriptions are available, purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and RevenueCat. We receive whether your subscription is active and until when; we never see your payment details.
The daily call reminder is a local notification scheduled on your phone; we don't send it from a server. The app has no ads and no advertising trackers.
Who processes your data
- Alibaba Cloud (Model Studio, Qwen models): the AI that listens, talks, summarises and translates. We use its international service. Your voice and conversation are sent to it only during calls and when you ask for a summary or translation, under Alibaba Cloud's terms for API customers.
- Cloudflare: runs our relay server, which connects the app to the AI and counts minutes.
- Supabase: our database (anonymous account, memory note, learning settings, usage).
- Apple, Google and RevenueCat: subscriptions, once available.
These providers may process data outside your country. We only share what each one needs to do its job.
Your consent
Before your first call, the app asks you to agree to sending your voice to the AI. Without that, Croco cannot work. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → AI data sharing; the app will ask again before the next call.
How long we keep data
We keep your account data until you delete it. When you do, we delete your account, memory note, settings and usage. We keep only the minimum needed to prevent abuse of the free trial: a random device ID and how many free minutes it used.
Deleting your data and your rights
In the app, go to Settings → Delete my data. This erases your account, memory note and usage from our servers, and your call history from the phone. You can also write to victor@33web.dev to access, correct, export or delete your data, or to ask anything about this policy. We answer within 15 days. These rights apply under the Brazilian LGPD, the GDPR and similar laws.
Children
Croco is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child used the app, contact us and we'll delete the data.
Changes
If we change what data goes to the AI, the app will ask for your consent again. Other changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
